Synopsis

With a language of their own, rituals are showed preceding a candomblé beat in a terreiro in Brazil’s Northeast region. It’s a look directed to simbolic values of the “povo de santo” (“saint’s people”) that are in a simbolic relationship with nature. The daily life of the terreiro’s community is lived closely by the day of the Toque de Oxum (Beat for Oxum), a river’s deity.
